HMAS Albatross key task is to support the five naval Squadrons, which stipulate air support to the fleet. HMAS Albatross houses the Fleet Air Arm, supporting Squirrel, Seahawk, MRH-90 helicopter squadrons and aerial targets for anti-aircraft operations. HMAS Albatross is an imperative strategic defence base within Australia and is located in the Nowra-Bomaderry urban area. As part of ongoing maintenance and upgrading, new buildings are being added and flight decks are continually tended to and maintained.

Sense speciality expertise:

Epoxy: The epoxy on existing flight decks had reached its working life limit and was in need of repair. Sense removed existing epoxy, conducted pull tests and moisture testing to determine the state of the substrate and repaired substrate where required. Moisure barrier was then applied to combat rising damp and a six coat MMA system with antislip, followed.
